My Glossary For My Project
Glossary
(Dance)
Modern- is a dance form developed in the early 20th century. Although the term Modern dances have also been applied to a category of 20th Century ballroom dances, Modern dance as a term usually refers to 20th century concert dance.
Swing (jive)- fast dance done to jazz or swing music
Tap (Buck and wing)- solo tap dance with many leg flings and leaps
Jazz (Shimmy)- jazz dance featuring rapid shaking of the body
African- Refers mainly to the dances of subsaharan and West Africa. The music and dances of northern Africa and the Sahara are generally more closely connected to those of the Near East.
Ballet- Is a specific academic dance form and technique which is taught in ballet schools according to specific methods. There are many ballet schools around the world that specialize in various styles of ballet and different techniques offered.
Hip Hop- Refers to dance styles, mainly street dance styles, primarily danced to hip hop music, or that have evolved as a part of the hip hop culture.
· Krump- Is a form of dancing that originated in the African-American community of South Central Los Angeles, California and is a relatively new form of the "Urban" Black dance movement.
· Belly Dance- is a Western name for an Arabic style of dance developed in the Middle East. In Europe, it is sometimes called oriental dance.
· Reggae (Dancehall)- Is a type of Jamaican popular music which developed around 1980, with exponents such as Yellowman, Shabba Ranks. It is also known by some as "Bashment".
Ballroom- Refers collectively to a set of partner dances, which originated in the Western world and are now enjoyed both socially and competitively around the globe. Its performance and entertainment aspects are also widely enjoyed on stage, in film, and on television.
Salsa- Refers to a fusion of informal dance styles having roots in the Caribbean (especially Cuba), Latin America and North America. Salsa is danced to Salsa music.
Tango-Is a social dance originating in Buenos Aires Argentina. The musical styles that evolved together with the dance are also known as "tango".
Cha-Cha- Fast rhythmic ballroom dance.
Greek- Is a very old tradition, being referred to by ancient authors such as Plato, Aristotle, Plutarch and Lucian.[1] There are many different styles and interpratations from all of the islands and surrounding mainland areas. Each region formed its own choreography and style to fit in with their own ways.

Today Was a Amnesty For Me
I'm getting so much work done I really needed this day bad my grades were good but they was what I wanted but now I see improvement. Thankz Mrs. Fossum I hope we can have more days like this.

Today I Sat And Listen To Students Presentations
I listen to students project and it was very interesting I loved some of the idea's the students came up with I was really impress with the effort the students gave while presenting there projects. I wish the best of luck to all of them including myself.

Working More To My Goal
Today I'm working on my links and my FAQ questions to post on my page for my project so I can present my topic on Wensenday so I can work hard and achieve my goal of a 3.0 baby!!!
